Revolution

Oh there's so much more to music,
Than a simple melody.
And there's so much more to singin'
Than a three part harmony.
And there's so much more to Lovin',
Than just sayin' the words "I Do",
And there's so much more to revolution
Than changin' point of view.

You know the songs we sing are simple,
But that feelin' is so Devine.
And harmony is you and me just singin' simple rhymes.
And Lovin' means to be just One
And if I could I would.
And a simpler word for revolution is.... Brotherhood.

Well I don't know, but I've been told
That the streets of Heaven are paved with gold,
And I'm gonna make it home before I die.
Now somebody told me it was in this direction
But I can't seem to make a connection.
I need a shot of rock and roll to get me by.

How long must I wait
While the politicians participate
In a scheme to keep a poor man on his knees?
How long can a man keep givin'
He's got to have Love to keep on livin'
Share a little bit with your Brother if you can.

'Cause I know I've got to deal with that man
And I'm standin' here with my empty hand.
And it's not part of my constitution
To live my life in destitution.
I want to have that revolution Now.

Oh there's so much more to music,
Than a simple melody.
And there's so much more to singin'
Than a three part harmony.
And there's so much more to Lovin',
Than just sayin' the words "I Do",
And there's so much more to revolution
Than changin' point of view.
You know the songs we sing are simple,
But that feelin' is so Devine.
And harmony is you and me
Just singin' simple rhymes.
And Lovin' means to be just One
And if I could I would.
And a simpler word for revolution is.... Brotherhood.
Brotherhood.
Sisterhood.
It sure feels good.
